The Canadian Armed Forces Chooses Trecan Snowmelters
One of Canada’s largest military air force bases, CFB Trenton, has selected Trecan Combustion to supply two Snowmelters to the base. Trecan supplied a 40-PD Snowmelter capable of melting 40 tons or 100 to 200 yards of snow per hour and a 60-PD Snowmelter capable of melting 60 tons or 150 to 300 yards of snow per hour.
The City of Toronto Chooses Trecan Snowmelters
The City of Toronto recently awarded Trecan Combustion the contract to design and build 2 new prototype 135-PD Snowmelters that will melt 135 tons or between 334 to 675 yards of snow per hour for the city.
2 Trecan Snowmelters to be deployed at the Canada Winter Olympics
Coastal Mountain Excavations of Whistler, BC took delivery of two new Trecan 80-PD Snowmelters, just in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The Trecan 80-PD will melt 80 tons or between 200 and 400 yards of snow per hour. Coastal Mountain Excavations was awarded the contract for snow removal for the 2010 Winter Olympics, after conducting a great deal of research they chose Trecan Snowmelters.
The Vancouver International Airport Orders 2 Trecan 135-PD Snowmelters
The Vancouver International Airport awarded Trecan Combustion the contract to supply two Trecan 135-PD Snowmelters. The Trecan 135-PD Snowmelters can each melt 135 tons or between 334 to 675 yards of snow per hour.

President Obama’s Inauguration Team calls Trecan

City of New York chooses Trecan Snowmelters
In January 2008, Trecan delivered the last of 19 Snowmelters to the City of New York. The city recently purchased 9 Trecan 60-PD Snowmelters and 7 Trecan 135-PD Snowmelters. The city also chose Trecan Snowmelters back in 2001 when they purchased 9 Trecan 60-PD units.
New Remote Communications Package
Since 2007 all Trecan Snowmelters have been equipped with our New Remote Communications Package. This unique option allows a Technician at the factory to monitor the Snowmelter 24/7 and run diagnostic testing when required anytime of the day or night, anywhere in North America. New Noise Reduction/Engine Room Enclosure Package
Since 2007 all Trecan portable Snowmelters have been equipped with our New Engine Room Enclosures. The Enclosures lower the noise level by 50% and add years of life to the machine by protecting the engine, control panel, blower and hydraulics.
